Doublemill Lite 1.1 is available on the App Store

Earlier this morning Apple approved the 1.1 update of Doublemill Lite. There are some minor bugfixes in this release, which we won't go into details here, and a couple of nice improvements, which should make it easier for you to enjoy a good game of Doublemill.

The most important update: we improved handling of stones! You get more feedback on placing, moving and removing stones. In addition to that, you can clearly see what the artificial opponent is doing, because it is all animated. We also improved sensitivity of moving the stones. It still needs a little practice, but it's definitely easier than before.

For all iPod touch and iPad users you are no longer challenging an "iPhone" opponent, but a "Gizmo". Gizmo means "thing", so whatever your are playing Doublemill with it will be the correct name for the device. This request came directly from a user in Canada, who is playing on an iPod touch and didn't like the fact that Doublemill uses "iPhone" as the name of his opponent. Thank your for pointing that out.

Although Doublemill Lite is not an iPad application (yet), you can still run it as an iPhone App. In order to have more fun doing so, the screen now rotates 180° when the device being flipped. This works for iPhone and iPod touch too.
